A Foundation for Measurable Impact

This year, DTP focused on one of the most important parts of our mission: building the systems that will help us understand, measure, and communicate our impact more clearly. While the full results will come in 2026, the groundwork set in 2025 marks a major leap forward in how we evaluate our work and tell the story of student growth.

A Unified Approach to Student Outcomes

We began developing DTP’s new Scholar Outcomes Measurement Plan, creating a consistent way to track progress across key literacy skills. We will have a better cohesive view of each student’s learning journey from intake to completion.

Strengthening How We Understand Tutor Impact

We also designed a new Tutor Effectiveness Measurement Plan that looks beyond hours and attendance to include instructional focus and student progress. This will guide our support and training efforts starting in 2026.

Introducing Progress Monitoring

2025 marked the creation of DTP’s Progress Monitoring Model—a structured, reliable way to track individual student skill growth over time. Beginning in 2026, this will help tutors identify early when a student needs additional support and give us clearer insight into how students are developing session by session.

Better Tools, Better Feedback

We launched new surveys and feedback tools this year to hear directly from tutors and instructors. These tools are already in use and are helping us understand program quality in real time.

Preparing For Stronger Data Systems

Behind the scenes, we are modernizing data collection and management so that, as we grow, we can track outcomes accurately and share our results with transparency.

Looking Ahead

2025 was about building the right systems. In 2026, we begin using them—turning data into stories, stories into insight, and insight into greater impact for the students and communities we serve.
