Resources We Offer

If there is anything you need that isn’t listed, please let us know and we’ll do our best to help.

Our Tutoring Rooms

DTP has three fully equipped tutoring rooms at The Rotunda, providing a dedicated, quiet and safe space for personalized instruction. They include dry erase tables, books, games, whiteboards, and more. To book one of the tutoring rooms for your sessions, contact our office at 410.889.5487 or email us.

Our Library of Books

DTP keeps a collection of books available in our offices to support the learning needs of those with dyslexia. The books address a range of reading levels and challenges. Contact us to check out our collection or borrow reading material.

Bookshare

DTP has access to Bookshare, a digital library that offers over 1 million accessible e-books for individuals with reading barriers, including those with dyslexia. Users can access textbooks, fiction, and other reading materials in alternative formats (audio, large print, braille, etc.). DTP tutors and students can check out books through DTP for use in tutoring. Check out our Tutor Events page for Bookshare training sessions.

Our Collection of Tutoring Materials

We offer a variety of materials designed to aid in tutoring sessions, including workbooks, manuals, interactive tools, and educational games. All materials are available at our offices and in the tutoring rooms in The Rotunda. You can come to check out materials for use in tutoring between 9:00am and 4:00pm.

Mentoring Sessions

DTP provides monthly online group mentoring sessions – First Tuesdays – to answer your questions, reinforce training, and support your efforts with your students. These are hosted by seasoned instructors with deep knowledge of dyslexic learning styles and the needs of our tutors. Check out our Tutor Events for this and other resources.

Workshops

DTP hosts educational workshops periodically to enhance your tutoring skills and target specific issues, techniques and tools that keep you and your student moving forward. Keep an eye out for our upcoming workshops at Tutor Events.
